Masahide Amemiya – A few words from our representative director
小佐野記念財団は設立以来、文化やスポーツなどの国際交流活動等により、山梨県の国際化の推進を図るべく、活動を行ってきました。
この度、当財団の設立者である小佐野英子氏に代わり、代表理事に就任いたしました。
近年は新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響で活動が制限されていましたが、水際対策が緩和されたことに伴い、コロナ前の活動を取り戻しつつあります。
「世界の人たちと知り合うことによって、故郷を元気にしたい！」との小佐野英子前代表理事の思いを胸に積極的に情報発信し、皆様の新しい出会い・交流の一助になれればと願っています。
Since its establishment, the Osano Memorial Foundation has worked to promote the internationalization of Yamanashi Prefecture through culture and sports as well as other international exchange activities. I am pleased to announce that I have taken up the role of representative director, replacing Eiko Osano.
In the past few years, the Covid-19 pandemic led to limitations on global activities. Yet, as border control measures have eased, these activities are gradually reverting to their pre-pandemic state. Just as the former director strongly believed in revitalising his hometown by connecting with people from around the world, it is my hope to facilitate new connections and share the beauty of my hometown with the world.
財団のあゆみ
History of the Foundation
公益財団法人小佐野記念財団は、山梨県甲州市（旧勝沼町）出身の故小佐野賢治氏の夫人である小佐野英子氏からいただいた寄付金をもとに、山梨県により設立されました。
小佐野賢治氏は日本を代表する実業家であり、類いまれなる経営手腕を発揮し、バス事業やホテル運営、不動産など幅広い事業を展開する国際興業グループの創始者であります。
故郷山梨をこよなく愛した小佐野賢治氏が遺した「国際交流を推進し、地域の発展と新たな文化の創造に役立ててもらいたい。」という思いを受け継ぎ、世界に開かれ、文化的で活力にあふれた、ふるさと山梨づくりに寄与することを目的として、国際交流事業を実施しています。
The Osano Memorial Foundation was established through a generous contribution from Eiko Osano, the wife of the late Kenji Osano, who hailed from Koshu city (formerly Katsunuma town) in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Kenji Osano, one of Japan’s leading businessmen and founder of the Kokusai Kogyo Company, demonstrated exceptional managerial skills by successfully overseeing diverse enterprises, spanning from real estate and hotel management to bus services.
Imbued with a strong attachment to his hometown of Yamanashi, he aspired to foster global interaction, contribute to the region’s growth, and instill a pioneering spirit of openness in cultural expressions. Osano’s dream of a vibrant and international Yamanashi lives on through the foundation’s exchange programs.
